Bridge Inspection-Team Leader

Supervisory Duties

• Supervises above-water and underwater bridge and ancillary design, inspection, and evaluation activity.
• Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations on field and/or design issues and adaptations.
• Prepares and monitors project budgets and assists in proposal preparation.
• Oversees project schedules and ensures timely completion of projects.
• Maintains compliance with plans and specifications for moderately complex engineering projects.
• Executes field work as required, which may include nights and weekends.
• Produces complete engineering plans or reports.
• Directs and supervises the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
• Coaches field staff on the purpose, processes, and techniques of inspections.
• Makes independent decisions with an established framework.
• Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in bridge inspection and design.
• Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software.
• Ability to lead and manage inspection teams in the field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
