About the Role
Sanford Contractors is seeking experienced, motivated, and dependable Bridge Foremen to join our team. This position requires 3+ years of experience as a bridge foreman, with a working knowledge of all facets of bridge construction. Ideal candidates will have sufficient experience as a skilled bridge worker, preferably as a crew lead.

Responsibilities
- Be punctual, dependable, and professional at all times.
- Work with cost effectiveness, profitability, and safety in mind.
- Lead by example and serve as the #1 safety advocate for your crew.
- Recognize and correct hazards as soon as they are present.
- Plan the anticipated work of the crew one day in advance.
- Notify superintendent of equipment and material needs for the following week.
- Identify tasks and assign team members to support the effort.
- Work with and train team members who show potential, sharing this information with the superintendent.
- Notify superintendent of assistance needed for layout work beyond your comfort level.
- Work closely with the site inspector to keep them informed of work plans, fostering a collaborative relationship.
- Communicate time away from work with your team leader and other team members with sufficient notice.
- Willingness to work hours as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a bridge foreman.
- Working knowledge of bridge construction and its associated facets.
- Experience as a skilled bridge worker, preferably as a crew lead.
Education, Training & Certifications
- OSHA Supervisor Training
- Level II Erosion Control Supervisor
- Qualified Traffic Control Supervisor
- Flagger certification
- Rigger certification
- Signal Person certification
- Trenching and Shoring Competent Person
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Forklift certification
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb ladders regularly.
- Work involves frequent shoveling, raking, using hand tools, and handling materials in and around trenches or uneven terrain.
- Requires standing or walking for extended periods.
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
