Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews performing bridge construction and structural work
- Cook and interpret GDOT plans, structural drawings, and specifications
- Oversee forming, rebar placement, concrete pours, and finishing
- Ensure compliance with GDOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
- Conduct daily safety meetings (JHAs / Toolbox Talks)
- Direct subcontractors and ensure alignment with project scope
- Maintain daily reports, quantities, and crew timekeeping
- Coordinate inspections and ensure quality standards are met
- Train and mentor crew members
- Operate equipment and perform hands-on work as needed
Qualifications & Experience
- A high school diploma or GED
- 3-7+ years of heavy civil construction experience (bridge focus)
- Experience with bridge construction and structural concrete
- Knowledge of GDOT specifications and standards
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Valid driver’s license required
