Responsibilities

• Performs technical evaluations, inspections, and designs for a wide variety of assignments including structural design and analysis for highway/railway bridges and related structures, bridge inspection, load ratings, and quantities.
• Performs assignments of limited scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related design engineering tasks.
• Assignments may involve some interpretation of Design Manuals and Guidelines that will be evaluated by a senior level staff member.
• Prepares details and plans in support of broader engineering activities involving the design of highway/railway bridges and related structures.
• Assists with bridge inspection activities for routine structures under direction of Inspection Team Leader.
