About the role
Our Lindum BMS division specializes in new build and refurbishment construction projects up to £2m, as well as planned and reactive minor works and maintenance jobs in the Lincoln area and surrounding regions.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise minor construction projects such as small extensions and internal and external refurbishment works in various sectors to include Education, Retail, Commercial and Residential.
- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units to specification, construct walls, partitions, foundations, and decorative brickwork.
- Interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Manage a site team and on-site labor.
- Organize and coordinate works according to a program and construction drawings.
- Work to the Group's quality and safety standards.
- Manage workload.
- Have direct contact with clients and instruct and motivate site teams.
- Full driving license is essential due to travel to required site locations in the region.
Requirements
- Experience in bricklaying to include laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry units to specification, construct walls, partitions, foundations, and decorative brickwork.
- Ability to manage a site team and on-site labor.
- Ability to work to the Group’s quality and safety standards.
- Full driving license is essential.
- Supervisory experience is preferred but not required; applications from experienced Bricklayers are also accepted.
Qualifications
- Current SSSTS or SMSTS qualification and other in-date safety training would be an advantage.
- The right attitude and people skills are essential.
