Breeder Technician

Responsibilities

• Work with and solve grower problems; establish a good working relationship between growers and the Company.
• Provide current science from the Company to growers to maximize farm production.
• Review data records and flocks to develop progressive plans that resolve production‑related issues.
• Travel locally each day.
• Climb a ladder to a height of 25 ft., lift 50 lb., and repeatedly stoop and squat.
• Maintain a clean driving record.

Requirements

• College education (minimum 2 years); Bachelor’s degree in Poultry Science or a similar field preferred.
• 2+ years of applicable experience in broiler or breeder farms.
• Experience leading organizational development and design activities.
• Self‑motivated, organized, independent thinker able to apply knowledge to field situations.
• Proactive and able to work without supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, chaotic, constantly‑changing work environment.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, squat, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stretch, walk, reach, twist, bend, grasp, use hands and fingers, handle objects or controls, talk, and hear.
• Agility to negotiate around moving machinery and people.
