Location: Ardmore, PA
Hours: PRN | Mon-Fri 8a-430p as needed for PTO coverage

Responsibilities

• Independently operate sonography equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique
• Communicate with the patient and relay any pertinent information to the radiologist
• Document on tracking sheet/chart
• Communicate with the radiologist and perform any necessary additional exams

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
• Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible for hire) or ARRT(S)
• Current compliance with CME requirements

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with patients about procedures and educate on the importance of regular mammography
• Ability to read and write medical terminology
• Ability to communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and other employees
• Knowledge of database software and RIS/PACS software

Skills

• Highly accurate positioning and scanning technique
• Effective communication with patients and radiologists
• Proper monitoring during ultrasound procedures
• Understanding and performing additional exams as needed
