About the role
The ideal candidate will be board certified in general surgery and have successfully completed a fellowship in breast surgery. Surgical procedures include mastectomies, lumpectomies, excisional biopsies, and port placement for chemotherapy along with other breast surgery general procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead a breast care program in the Covington area at Newton Hospital
- Perform surgical procedures including mastectomies, lumpectomies, excisional biopsies, and port placement for chemotherapy
- Collaborate with medical oncology team to provide comprehensive care
Requirements
- Board certified in general surgery
- Successfully completed a fellowship in breast surgery
Qualifications
- Experience in breast surgery preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
