Breast Care Registered Nurse (RN) Imaging Navigator - Breast Health (Days)

About the role

The Nurse Breast Health Navigator is a proficient nurse with in‑depth knowledge of nursing practice, responsible for developing and nurturing self while enhancing the Breast Health program. This position maintains high standards of patient care and education and is performed independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and carry out the activities of the Self‑Referral Mammography Program.
• Manage recommended patient follow‑up (ACR 0, ACR 3, ACR 4, 5, and 6).
• Provide breast health information, education, and support to patients and families throughout the breast care diagnostic studies process.
• Assist the Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator.
• Conduct patient and community education.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree or two years of college coursework.
• Experience: One year of related experience and a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
• Licenses and Certifications: Georgia Registered Nurse license or Multistate Nursing license; Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification.

Qualifications

• Meets and maintains the qualifications for Clinical Nurse II.
• BSN preferred.
• Prefer five years of nursing experience.
