About the role

Breakthrough Manchester College-Bound at SNHU (BTM-CB) is a tuition-free program aimed at supporting under-resourced high school students in their academic growth, college-readiness, and essential skill-building.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated support to students through advising, college access and success curriculum on eight College-Bound Saturdays.
• Attend monthly check-in meetings with supervisor.
• Meet with students and attend half-day workshops at least 8 Saturdays per school year.
• Respond to student questions within 48 hours.
• Participate in advisor professional learning community meetings and professional development sessions.
• Facilitate weekly or bi-monthly study hall meetings at the Manchester High Schools for BTMCB students.
• Lead at least one Saturday workshop per school year for the students.
• Submit regular progress self-reflections and reflections on advisee progress.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled college student in an undergraduate program or recent undergraduate alumni.
• Must live within a commutable distance (90 miles) to our campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with high school students and/or in education settings preferred.

$13.50/hour.
