Job Summary/Description
KFDA, Newschannel10, the market leader, is looking for a Morning Show Reporter to join our winning team here in Amarillo, Texas. This position will perform daily live shots, breaking news coverage, and serve as a backup anchor for the AM newscast. This position will be fast-paced with tight deadlines and require someone who can think on their feet. We are looking for a good storyteller who wants to learn in a winning Team. The right candidate will be able to perform creative live shots in a clear and concise delivery. We are searching for a driven journalist to fit this stringent role. You will be an integral part of the top news team in the area, bringing unique local stories, from enterprising ideas to telling polished, effective stories live on-air and digital platforms.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to shoot and edit video, and effectively communicate live on-air
- Flexibility in scheduling, to respond to the changing news landscape
- A four-year degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
