About the role
Performs monitoring and clerical duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for elementary cafeteria services. The district reserves the right to modify or change the duties or essential functions of this job at any time.
Responsibilities
- Reports consistently for work as scheduled
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
- Completes daily paperwork for the school and food service vendor (e.g., lunch reports and deposits)
- Sells and tracks lunch purchases in Point of Service (POS) system (Infinite Campus) in accordance with Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) meal count regulations
- Ensures all components of reimbursable meal are present in accordance with USDA and CDE meal count regulations
- Attends mandatory training events on meal count procedures

Work Environment

- Work is generally performed in a cafeteria
- May experience exposure to high noise levels
Physical Demands
- Sits, stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crouches/squats while performing duties
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interaction interpersonally and/or through communication devices
- Uses eyes, hands, and finger coordination enabling the use of equipment and writing utensils
- Typical demands require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds; may be higher for some assignments depending on position and student need
- May require climbing stairs, ladders, and/or stools; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects
- Uses fingers to operate computer keyboards
- Feels the shape, size, and temperature of objects
Cognitive Functions

Qualifications
- First Aid/CPR certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent)
- High school graduate (high school diploma or equivalent)
Pay
Compensation range: $17.97–$18.87 per hour
Schedule
- Scheduled weekly hours: 21.25
- Hours per day: 4.25
- Days per year: 162 (Monday–Friday)
