About the Role
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cincinnati Riverfront is located in Covington, Kentucky, just a mile from downtown Cincinnati. Our hotel offers a perfect blend of convenience and community, with a small, select-service property that fosters a welcoming environment among its 30 employees.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet or menu items.
- Ensure food is fresh, properly displayed, and replenished as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
- Greet guests warmly and address their questions or needs.
- Assist with special requests (e.g., dietary restrictions).
- Keep the breakfast area clean and organized, including tables, counters, and buffet stations.
- Restock supplies like plates, utensils, and condiments.
- Monitor inventory and report low supplies to management.
- Aid in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Follow hotel policies and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service (preferred).
- Friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Ability to interact professionally with guests and address their needs.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Ability to prepare and handle food safely (a food handler's permit may be required).
