Break Press Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic and semi-automatic power brake machines.
• Form sheet metal to blueprint specifications.
• Produce completed formed parts from a provided blank to a specified print dimension.
• Check height, depth, and thickness using calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Adjust programming to ensure parts meet engineering specifications.
• Complete spot inspections of parts.
• Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
• Ensure cleaning of machine and 5S of work area are completed daily.
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Operate other machines, sort, rework, de-nest, assemble, weld, or process other parts as a manufacturing team member.

Requirements

• Dependable
• 1-3 years CNC experience in a production manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills
• Highly skilled at reading blueprints and experience using measuring instruments
• Good attendance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work safely and efficiently
• Ability to work with close tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and written processes
• Additional courses in CNC Laser set-up and operation
