BRD Packaging Laborer All Shifts

About the Role

Join the Barrett Petfood team as a Full‑Time Packager in Brainerd, Minnesota. You’ll play a crucial role in delivering high‑quality pet food that enhances the lives of pets and their owners, working onsite in a fun, high‑performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Package pet food products, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Inspect packaging for errors and properly label products.
• Collaborate with team members and adhere to production schedules.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
• Support the operator by filling and sealing bags, monitoring machine operation, and alerting the operator to issues.
• Keep the packaging line clean.
• Assist in clearing jams from the bundler.
• Assist the operator in all packaging functions.
• Conduct and record metal detection, weight, seal, and lot code checks as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
• Ability to safely climb and descend stairs and ladders as required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $17.50 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience and shift differential.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
• 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:15 pm – 10:45 pm (+$1.50/hr shift differential).
• 3rd Shift: Monday – Friday, 10:00 pm – 6:30 am (+$3.00/hr shift differential).
