About the Role
The Braze Operator will perform a variety of assembly, fabrication, production, and operator tasks. This role ensures proper setup of machines, programming, tooling, and machining parts in accordance with manufacturing standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using measuring and testing devices.
- Ensure product accuracy and uniformity throughout the manufacturing process to create consistent parts.
- Provide general preventative maintenance to all machines.
- Read blueprints and adhere to multiple components accurately.
- Set up, operate, or tend machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
- Correct problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines as needed.
- Attach tips to bodies of two metals, ensuring the received pocket is the appropriate size and shape for the supplied tip to meet drawing requirements.
- Avoid overheating the substrate to prevent damage.
- Verify secure bonds before parts leave the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Vocational school or apprenticeship is ideal but not required.
- Experience with soldering or welding is ideal but not required.
Skills
- Basic mathematical skills, including geometry and unit conversions.
- Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of cutting tool technical applications.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing, with some lifting, bending, and twisting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, bend, or kneel as required.
