About the role

The Brand Marketing Director will lead the CoComelon portfolio globally, driving affinity and growth for the CoComelon brand. This role reports on-site in the Los Angeles office and oversees the annual marketing plans from conception to execution.

Responsibilities

  • Set the overarching marketing strategy and annual plans for both brands globally
  • Define the vision for the brands and be the steward to protect the brand vision, mission, and values
  • Lead consumer insights plans and develop strategies to drive affinity for the brands, drive consumption of content, engagement on social media platforms, and drive conversion on retail partner platforms
  • Establish relevant KPIs for marketing plans and track department performance against KPIs to identify opportunities to improve performance and marketing spend efficiencies across channels
  • Oversee creation of brand assets including trailers, sales materials, style guides, and other marketing materials
  • Mentor the supporting Brand Marketing team
  • Support licensing and distribution partners to develop and execute strategies across their business units and channels integrating with our marketing channel infrastructure
  • Oversee brand marketing team collaborations with internal cross-functional teams like content, brand partnerships, and legal for campaign approvals and coordination
  • Develop robust test & learn plan to improve performance and marketing spend efficiencies across channels, based on data & analytical insights
  • Manage Brand Marketing budget
  • Drive innovation with partners to get them excited to promote our fun and enriching shows and characters

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in a marketing role or brand strategy role with a strong focus on digital marketing
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters/MBA degree preferred
  • Analytical mindset with an understanding of acquisition funnel, performance marketing KPIs, and profitability levers
  • Strategic self-starter with ability to navigate cross-functional teams and a proven track record of successfully driving high impact projects from start to finish
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to internal/external stakeholders at all levels
  • A strong communicator (written and oral) with a can-do, positive attitude who is calm under pressure and can influence and achieve buy-in at all levels
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Hungry and curious - constantly bringing new insights, ideas, and opportunities to the brand
  • Passion for brands that moves fast and shape culture
  • Fluent English, essential; other languages beneficial
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
