About the role
In the role of Brand Design Manager working in Chicago, IL, you understand design as a critical growth and business driver, using your expertise to orchestrate effective and aesthetic design solutions in partnership with Marketing and Agencies.
Responsibilities
- Understands design as a critical growth and business driver, using expertise to orchestrate effective and aesthetic design solutions in partnership with Marketing and Agencies.
- Applies design training and experience to help guide creative assessment and drive optimal aesthetic and effective creative solutions.
- Facilitates open dialogue with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Project Management, Sales Planning, Legal, R&D and creative agencies to ensure that budgets, timelines and resources are in alignment throughout the course of a project.
- Guides the crafting of the Creative Brief as well as all consequent creative reviews and presentations to ensure focused design solutions are based on objectives.
- Identifies timelines and tracks progress for the design development of all packaging projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience with 8+ years as a hands-on designer.
- Strong presentation skills as well as emotional intelligence and professional communication are essential, as well as a high level of collaboration, process management, business partnering skills and integrity.
- You have experience in the alcohol/beverage industry or in consumer-packaged goods.
- You love a challenge – you complete complex projects quickly and adeptly with your understanding of the business priorities.
- You build relationships and collaborate to get to the desired outcome.
- You take accountability for results – acting with integrity and honoring commitments.
- You have a thirst for learning – you are always looking for ways to learn and help one another grow.
Qualifications

- Understanding of cultural context, competitive landscape, consumer insights and business strategy specific to assigned brands.
- Expertise in design training and experience to help guide creative assessment and drive optimal aesthetic and effective creative solutions.
- Proficiency in brand world development process, creative director, and brand stewardship.
- Collaboration and problem-solving skills across various formats.
- Project management skills, including budgeting, timeline management, and resource allocation.
- Ability to evaluate projects at each stage of production with a critical eye for maintaining design intent through production.

Pay
$96,600.00 - $126,700.00 (posting salary range)
Schedule
Hybrid work model of 4 days in the office
