Overview
- As a Branch Teller, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and member-focused environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct teller transactions: Handle various member financial transactions such as transfers, withdrawals, deposits, loan payments, and loan paydowns.
- Monitor and handle cash: Keep track of deposit and withdrawal amounts and ensure documents are properly endorsed and negotiable.
- Determine holds: Identify additional holds as necessary and communicate this information to members effectively.
- Advise and refer: Provide guidance on GECU products and services that can help members achieve their financial goals, and refer them to other branch team members as needed.
- Guide self-service: Assist members in managing their accounts through digital channels, including handling account maintenance requests.
- Daily balancing: Perform daily balancing procedures and manage cash drawer inventories at the start and end of shifts.
- Support branch operations: Ensure all members’ needs are met and foster a welcoming environment within the branch.
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum one year of member support-related or professional experience is required.
- Previous experience handling cash transactions is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Interpersonal and verbal communication: Deliver a positive and impactful experience through great communication skills.
- Professionalism: Function well in a fast-paced, in-person environment with a high degree of professionalism.
- Attention to detail: Review member accounts and process transactions with thorough attention to detail.
- Software proficiency: Be proficient with software to fulfill job duties.
