Role Summary

The Branch Service Manager/Team Leader oversees all operations, supervises staff, manages budgets, and drives business development in the community. They are also responsible for onboarding and mentoring new team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional member service and solve problems promptly.
  • Offer appropriate products and services to deepen member relationships.
  • Make outbound calls to members to establish and nurture relationships.
  • Ensure branch equipment is functioning properly and act when needed.
  • Engage in business development activities in the community.
  • Manage the branch budget and cost management.
  • Oversight of the branch performance and profitability.
  • Train and mentor new team members.
  • Coach and mentor team members to achieve their career goals.
  • Understand and discuss various types of accounts and distributions.
  • Open and maintain specialty accounts such as Trusts, UTMAs, Estate Accounts, etc.
  • Assist non-members with establishing membership and opening new accounts.
  • Process consumer lending applications, review credit reports, and close loans.
  • Discuss IRAs and HSAs with members and non-members.
  • Oversee cash activity and manage cash limits.
  • Perform branch certifications, cash drawer audits, and OFAC reports.
  • Perform transactions and service requests on member accounts.
  • Issue, record, and file monetary instruments and reports.
  • Enroll and demonstrate member "self-service" options.
  • Adhere to Gesa Credit Union's Attendance Policy and complete assigned training programs.
  • Participate in community events and volunteering events.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree (or equivalent) required.
  • Two-year degree in related field preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of lending and account opening experience required.
  • At least one (1) year of management experience required.
  • At least two (2) years of financial industry experience required.
  • At least one (1) year of customer service experience required.
  • Sales/relationship building experience required.
  • Cash handling experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate and support credit union values and service standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality, control risk, and manage operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and ethics.
  • Pass a pre-employment credit/background check.

Pay

Full Salary Range: $25.37-$47.11

Schedule

Hours vary based on branch location and operational needs.
