Branch Production Associate

About the role

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations, with the ability to problem-solve individual sizing issues
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, including:
• Taking up stride
• Lengthening/shortening tails on shirts
• Tapering shirts
• Adjusting waists
• Hemming trousers
• Mending tears
• Replacing zippers
• Applying patches
• Applying name strips
• Applying striping
• Applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience in alterations preferred, but GALLS will train
• Well-versed in industrial Sewing machines, preferred, but GALLS will train
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused – you're not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

• Industrial Sewing machine proficiency

• Physical stamina for standing or sitting for long periods, bending, stretching, twisting, and lifting
