Branch Operations Manager

Responsibilities
- Monitor job costs and conduct production reviews with Operations Managers.
- Create monthly Work In Progress (WIP) reports and ensure accurate reporting with Operations Managers.
- Aid in annual budget preparation and manage the branch to meet budget goals.
- Maximize production efficiencies by controlling direct costs and unbillable labor to budget.
- Spend 75% of the day in the field with crews to evaluate and improve work standards.
- Lead pre- and post-job meetings with Operations Managers and Field Staff.
- Implement safety training and maintain safe workplace practices.
- Cook up snow operations and ensure efficient transition between seasons.
- Generate purchase orders/requests for departmental needs as authorized by the Branch Manager.
- Accurately complete all paperwork related to the position.
Requirements
- 3 years or more experience in direct supervisory experience in ground maintenance.
- Strong history of sales and account management performance.
- Familiarity with landscape horticulture and plant materials.
- Ability to complete first aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses.
- Valid driver’s license required for the position.
- Relevant pesticide licenses and certificates as required by state law.
- Ability to inspire and develop branch staff.
- Experience in cultivating long-term relationships with clients.
- GED or high school diploma equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay
Visterra offers competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually, but actual compensation will vary depending upon new hire experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school diploma equivalent, 3 years or more experience in direct supervisory experience in ground maintenance, strong history of sales and account management performance, familiarity with landscape horticulture and plant materials, ability to complete first aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses, valid driver’s license, relevant pesticide licenses and certificates as required by state law, ability to inspire and develop branch staff, experience in cultivating long-term relationships with clients, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
The successful candidate will possess a combination of technical and soft skills including, but not limited to, supervisory experience, sales and account management, landscape horticulture knowledge, safety training, and effective communication.
