Branch Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lives our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Works under the direction of the branch manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the branch
• Plays a critical role in the profitability of the branch and assists the branch manager with P&L management
• Supervises the inside sales staff and the warehouse manager
• Serves as the “go-to” leader for customer service opportunities and issues
• Seraches for ways to improve branch operations and sales
• Makes sure all branch operations are monitored, including: warehouse processes, physical inventory, fleet, payroll, bank deposits, cycle counts, and daily reports
• Works alongside the warehouse manager and associates
• Uses company's sophisticated inventory management network, which ties all Lansing branches together
• Is responsible for branch staffing
• Does what is necessary to get the job done while following our mission statement

Qualifications

• Experienced manager and supervisor with the ability to motivate subordinates
• High integrity and energy while working in a fast-paced environment
• Experienced manager with the ability to motivate subordinates
• Experience with building products either as a salesperson or in senior warehouse roles
• Ability to meet -- and reach -- personal goals
• Strong interest in sales and/or retail as evidenced by previous jobs or by education
• Excellent interpersonal skills -- the ability to work one-on-one with customers and the ability to resolve sensitive business-related issues
• Strong computer knowledge
• All-around business professional with exceptional telephone etiquette
• Competitor with a hunger for success and the willingness to go the extra mile
• Strong communication and social skills
• Heavy lifting -- up to 70 pounds -- may be required on occasion
