Branch Operations Intern

About the role

Republic Finance is seeking Interns for our Branch Operations program. As a Branch Ops Intern, you will learn the daily functions and operations of a branch, gain real-world experience by working alongside our team, and explore various career opportunities within the company. This 100% onsite internship pays $15.00 per hour and aims to offer full-time employment upon successful completion of the program to start post-graduation.

Responsibilities

• Become licensed and complete an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program to learn the loan process and regulatory training.
• Assist in daily loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings, including allocating files for document preparation, auditing closed files, and preparing files ready to fund.
• Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President to understand responsibilities at their levels and explore promotional paths.
• Attend regional meetings and/or workshops to gain exposure to the larger Branch Operations division.
• Participate in one or more Branch Operations process improvement projects.
• Learn about corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are strongly desired (e.g., Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting).
• Receive an overview of company benefits during the program.

Requirements

• Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing, including a criminal background check conducted by the state’s department of insurance.
