About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Operations Associate Manager (LO) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role involves leading and supervising risk and operations of teller functions to deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience while ensuring compliance, quality, and timely completion of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise risk and operations of teller functions to ensure exceptional customer service, colleague experience, and compliance.
- Provide feedback and ideas for improving customer service, colleague experience, and related performance management processes.
- Perform operational and customer support tasks, including resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
- Engage customers in conversations, build relationships, and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage the schedule and daily operations of the teller line, making decisions and resolving issues under regional banking management direction.
- Leverage knowledge of applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and audit/escalation protocols.
- Collaborate with branch employees, colleagues, and mid-level managers.
- Interact directly with customers, including assessing needs and referring those interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member (without taking applications or negotiating terms).
- Coach, motivate, and develop a diverse team of direct reports to achieve business objectives and full potential.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for branch operations.
- Mentor and guide talent development, including assisting in hiring.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 1+ years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Leadership skills, including the ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse work team.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to listen, elicit information efficiently, and resolve complex customer issues.
- Experience in customer service, operations, or financial services management within a high-volume, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment.
- Ability to educate customers on technology and promote mobile banking options.
- Professionalism and integrity in interactions with customers and employees.
- Knowledge of banking laws, regulations, retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
- Cash handling experience.
Job Expectations
- Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. Ongoing regulatory requirements may include additional screening.
