About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Branch Operations Associate Manager (LO) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. In this role, you will lead and supervise risk and operations of teller functions to deliver exceptional customer service and colleague experience, ensuring timely completion, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide feedback and present ideas for improving customer service, colleague experience, and related performance management processes and tools.
- Perform operational and customer support tasks while delivering excellent customer service, engaging customers in conversations, and building relationships.
- Manage the schedule and daily operations of the teller line, making decisions and resolving issues under the direction of regional banking management.
- Leverage interpretation of applicable regulations, policy and procedure requirements, and audit and escalation procedures.
- Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
- Collaborate and consult with branch employees, colleagues, and mid-level managers.
- Interact directly with customers, coaching, motivating, and developing a diverse team of direct reports to achieve full potential and meet business objectives.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for branch operations, mentor and guide talent development, and assist in hiring talent.
- Assess and refer customers interested in dwelling-secured products to a SAFE team member without taking an application or negotiating terms.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience assessing and meeting customer needs or helping with issue resolution, demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 1+ years of leadership experience.
Qualifications
- Leadership skills, including the ability to build, develop, and motivate a diverse work team.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to listen, elicit information efficiently, comprehend, and resolve complex customer issues.
- Customer service, operations, or financial services management experience within a high-volume, fast-paced, and constantly changing environment.
- Ability to educate customers on technology and promote mobile banking options.
- Professionalism and integrity in interactions with customers and employees.
- Knowledge of banking laws, regulations, retail compliance controls, risk management, and loss prevention.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
- Cash handling experience.
Job Expectations
- Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards. Ongoing regulatory requirements may include additional screening.
