Branch Manager - Electrical Distribution

About the role
The Branch Manager is responsible for developing and coaching their team while ensuring the profitable and safe operation of the branch. This role involves overseeing all aspects of branch operations, interpreting corporate goals, preparing and executing annual budgets, and implementing sales and operational initiatives to drive profitable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize branch performance.
- Lead external digital strategy through customer digital adoption.
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and training to branch personnel; address personnel issues with corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure branch personnel have the tools necessary to achieve high sales potential.
- Manage branch Profit and Loss (P&L) to meet or exceed sales, net income, asset management targets, and expense budgets.
- Implement branch security and safety standards through facility and asset inspections, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Stay knowledgeable about markets served, customers, vendors, and competitors.
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective customers and vendors, demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Conduct and oversee inventory control procedures to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with key partners, managers, sales, and marketing teams to support branch mission, strategies, and growth goals.
- Make deliveries to branches or customers as required.
- Perform other branch duties, including counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B industry experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
- If required to make deliveries:
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage P&Ls preferred.
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Sales and service-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, with excellent leadership and customer service skills.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Solar Eclipse.
- Ability to develop and coach a team.

Pay
For the state of Virginia only, the pay range is $70,000 to $90,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
