Branch Manager Designate

About the role

As a Branch Manager Designate, you will be a hands-on leader who thrives in guiding your team from the front while learning the full scope of branch management. This role requires strong business acumen, professionalism, and the discipline to operate autonomously as you prepare to transition into a full Branch Manager position.

Responsibilities

• Achieve Reece branch KPIs, drive sales performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect the Reece standard.
• Lead your team with strong knowledge of plumbing products and systems, or the capability to learn quickly.
• Embrace and promote Reece’s values of teamwork, integrity, service, and continuous improvement.
• Engage proactively with customers, build relationships, expand accounts, and strengthen customer loyalty.
• Oversee staffing, inventory, logistics, safety, scheduling, and daily branch operations.
• Manage budgeting, margin, and branch financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Adopt a consultative, solutions-focused mindset to uncover customer needs and drive sustainable growth.
• Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a positive, growth-oriented culture.
• Collaborate with a people-first attitude, stepping in where needed to support both team and customers.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where customers and team members thrive.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in wholesale, plumbing, building supplies, or trade distribution, with a proven track record in branch or team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing products, systems, and fixtures—or the ability and motivation to quickly develop this expertise.
• Experience managing a branch, warehouse, or retail operation in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Prior experience in sales leadership, including achieving sales targets and KPIs.

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Attendance: Ability to maintain scheduled days and hours, including onsite presence at the assigned location.
• Physical Capacities: Lift up to 50 pounds frequently, sit and stand for extended periods, kneel, squat, climb, and walk.
• Operation of Office Equipment: Use computers, copiers, and other office equipment; requires near vision, manual dexterity, and working near equipment.
• Oral Communication Skills: Speaking, speech clarity, and speech recognition.
• Written Communication Skills: Writing, reading and written comprehension, and written expression.
