About the role
The Branch Manager I represents all Hertz Global brands to customers, community leaders, business partners, vendors, and government entities. This position oversees the successful delivery of Hertz products to internal and external customers, providing leadership to all employees. Responsibilities include driving operating performance, customer satisfaction, employee culture, safety, service, budgets, and vendor relations. The role requires in-depth knowledge of operations, management, logistics, technology, and financial disciplines, with a focus on decisive, goal-directed leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and ensure compliance with the annual business plan to drive profitability.
- Direct and organize reservations and pick-ups, and build relationships with vendors such as Lyft, Uber, and Pep Boys.
- Implement location strategies to maximize profitability and revenue opportunities, including revenue per unit.
- Resolve or assist in resolving customer service issues while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Coach and empower staff to engage in problem resolution and customer relations.
- Attend and host outside sales meetings or events to promote the company and branch location.
- Increase market penetration and revenue for the branch.
- Develop, communicate, and monitor location and individual objectives aligned with corporate goals.
- Train, coach, and mentor branch staff, including conducting performance reviews.
- Hold weekly staff meetings to keep employees motivated and informed of business operations.
- Conduct Monthly Business Reviews to ensure KPI knowledge among staff.
- Maintain positive employee relations and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (Associate's degree preferred).
- Previous management experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism is a plus.
- Proven result orientation with a demonstrated history of success.
- Ability to direct and motivate teams.
Skills
- Highly organized with strong time management skills.
- Ability to interface with multi-faceted, cross-functional teams.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including complex Excel analysis and PowerPoint.
- Strong customer service aptitude, with the ability to address and resolve issues.
- Flexible and adaptable to changes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Financial and business acumen.
- Knowledge of customer service resolution practices and sales management/coaching.
- Understanding of labor and employment laws, operations management, and project management.
- Proficiency in analysis and report modeling.
Pay
$54,000 annually.
