Branch Manager

About the role
The Branch Manager is responsible for developing and coaching their team while ensuring the profitable and safe operation of the branch. This role involves overseeing all aspects of branch operations, interpreting corporate goals, preparing and executing annual budgets, and implementing sales and operational initiatives to drive profitable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize branch performance.
- Lead external digital strategy through customer digital adoption.
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and training to branch personnel.
- Recognize personnel problems and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure branch personnel have the tools necessary to achieve highest levels of sales potential.
- Effectively manage branch Profit and Loss (P&L) to meet or exceed sales, GE sales, net income, asset management targets, and expense budgets.
- Implement branch security and safety standards by conducting facility and asset inspections.
- Remain knowledgeable about markets served, customers, vendors, and competitors.
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective customers and vendors.
- Conduct/oversee inventory control procedures and ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with key partners, managers, sales, and marketing to support branch mission, strategies, and growth goals.
- Make deliveries to branches/customers as required.
- Perform other duties within the branch, including counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B industry experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- High School diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment (preferred).
Qualifications
If required to make deliveries:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- Must not have had a suspended driver’s license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
- Must not have any at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage P&Ls (preferred).
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Sales and service-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, with excellent leadership and customer service skills.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Solar Eclipse.
- Ability to develop and coach a team.

Pay
For the state of Virginia only, the pay range is $70K to $90K, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
