Branch Manager
About the Role
Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication, and related supplies in the United States. Operating through eight regions under various banner and trade names—including Rexel, Rexel Automation, Gexpro, Mayer, Talley, and Platt Electric Supply—Rexel USA serves customers via an online store and a network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations nationwide.
The Branch Manager is responsible for developing and coaching their team while ensuring the profitable and safe operation of the branch. This role involves overseeing all aspects of branch operations, interpreting corporate goals, preparing and executing annual budgets, and implementing sales and operational initiatives to drive profitable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Drive profitability by utilizing company digital tools to maximize branch performance.
- Lead external digital strategy through customer digital adoption.
- Provide leadership, motivation, direction, and training to branch personnel; address personnel issues with corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure branch personnel have the tools necessary to achieve the highest levels of sales potential.
- Manage branch Profit and Loss (P&L) to meet or exceed targets for total sales, GE sales, net income, asset management, and expense budgets.
- Implement branch security and safety standards by conducting facility and asset inspections and taking corrective actions.
- Stay knowledgeable about markets served, customers, vendors, and competitors.
- Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective customers and vendors; demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Conduct and oversee inventory control procedures to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with key partners, managers, sales, and marketing teams to support branch mission, strategies, and growth goals.
- Make deliveries to branches or customers as required.
- Perform other branch duties as needed, including counter sales, order preparation, material receiving, stocking, staging, shipping, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B industry experience.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
- High School diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment (preferred).
- If required to make deliveries:
- Valid driver’s license.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Must pass pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
- Must obtain verification of a non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
- No suspended driver’s license for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
- No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Skills
- Knowledge and experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Ability to manage P&Ls (preferred).
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies.
- Sales and service-oriented, self-motivated, dependable, with excellent leadership and customer service skills.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Solar Eclipse.
- Ability to develop and coach a team.

Pay
For the state of California, the pay range is $88,833.33 to $90,201.27, depending on qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law.
