Branch Manager
About the role
As Branch Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the branch in compliance with established policies and procedures. You will plan, direct, and control all branch profit centers through department managers, ensuring overall growth and profit objectives are met. The role includes staffing, training, and evaluating department managers, formulating branch objectives and policies, and developing annual business plans, sales/profit targets, and expense budgets aligned with company goals.
You will assess branch needs, trends, and profit opportunities, establish short- and long-term operating and financial objectives, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The position requires maintaining customer and public relations, acting as the final arbitrator in customer disputes, and promoting safe work habits.

Responsibilities
- Direct and control all branch profit-center activities through department managers.
- Staff, train, and evaluate department managers to meet growth and profit objectives.
- Formulate branch objectives, policies, plans, and procedures in alignment with company goals.
- Assist department managers in developing performance targets and programs.
- Evaluate department operating results against pre-determined objectives.
- Consult with department managers on personnel decisions and major accounts.
- Assess branch needs, trends, problems, and profit opportunities.
- Establish short- and long-term operating and financial objectives for the branch.
- Ensure branch compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop annual and monthly business plans, sales/profit objectives, and expense budgets.
- Create merchandising strategies with department managers to meet objectives.
- Supervise the sale of trucks, parts, and service.
- Maintain communication within and between branch departments.
- Act as final arbitrator in customer disputes and maintain satisfactory customer relations.
- Develop and train department managers, appraise their performance, and recommend compensation changes.
- Ensure the branch is efficiently staffed and organized.
- Promote safe work habits and enforce safety rules.
Requirements
- Previous management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of branch operations.
- Direct truck sales experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership ability and decision-making skills.
