Branch Manager
About the role
You will manage sales, customer service, and day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes acting as a teller and customer service representative when needed, supervising operations and sales, and delivering Legendary Service to both customers and employees. You will provide guidance and coaching to staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Daily activities vary based on customer traffic, employee demands, and meetings. You will have significant customer contact and be responsible for outside business development to identify opportunities for consumer and business products and services. Participation in local community organizations is expected.
Responsibilities
- Oversee general branch operations, including staffing, coaching, and developing employees.
- Act as a teller and customer service representative as needed while supervising sales and operations.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and handle personnel issues, including selection and training of employees.
- Drive sales management and training for cross-selling bank products, ensuring customer needs are met through referrals and follow-up.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and loan officers with a strong understanding of installment lending.
- Lead outside business development efforts to identify consumer and business product opportunities.
- Participate in local community organizations to build relationships and promote the bank.
- Manage branch operations, including opening/closing, cash handling, audits, security, and compliance with banking regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, information security).
- Monitor and maintain branch cash levels, night depository agreements, and fraud protections.
- Ensure adherence to sales models, performance monitoring, and alignment with the bank’s strategic plan.
- Foster a team atmosphere while maintaining Legendary Service standards for customers and coworkers.
- Understand and follow proper procedures in case of a robbery or security incident.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Full knowledge of the bank’s sales, service, and operations.
- Strong understanding of security, fraud protections, and banking products/services.
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining professionalism.
- Experience in sales management, coaching, and motivating employees.
- Proficiency in branch operations, including cash handling, audits, and compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities
You will supervise Tellers, Financial Associates, and an Assistant Branch Manager, with 5–10 direct and indirect reports depending on the location.
