About the role
The Branch Manager will oversee branch execution of grounds maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and overall operations. This includes managing internal and external customer experience, achieving company safety, quality, and financial goals, and developing employees, sub-contractors, Operations Managers, Client Managers, and Administration. The Branch Manager will report to the Company Leader and collaborate to foster a safe, cohesive, structured, and successful company culture.
Responsibilities
- Work with company leaders to develop and implement future goals, processes, and growth strategies for grounds maintenance and seasonal services.
- Drive a culture of product delivery and continual improvement of the customer experience, collaborating with the sales team to enhance customer relationships.
- Establish effective communication protocols between all parties responsible for maintaining quality standards on client properties.
- Develop and manage professional relationships with clients and internal business departments to create efficient processes.
- Resolve property issues effectively, ensuring Client Managers are informed at each stage of the process.
- Collaborate with the Administration team to ensure timely delivery and updates of billing, accounts payable, payroll, and sub-contractor contracts/payments.
- Oversee branch safety, including training, daily safety meetings, and PPE management.
- Ensure crews are trained, production standards are analyzed, and operational best practices are shared while maintaining compliance with safety programs.
- Evaluate and develop plans for efficient use of equipment and materials, conduct branch and customer site audits, and participate in estimating for grounds maintenance, enhancements, and irrigation.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and hiring of branch personnel to meet branch goals.
- Manage team performance based on roles, responsibilities, and goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
- At least 5–10 years of experience leading multiple landscape operations.
- Experience effectively managing others.
- Proficiency in Aspire is a plus.
- Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel).
- Strong organizational and project scheduling skills.
- High level of accountability and responsibility for all team activities.
- Proven ability to communicate and build relationships at multiple levels.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Proven ability to identify gaps and optimize processes.
- Experience managing jobs and achieving budgeted margins.
- Ability to develop and maintain vendor and sub-contractor relationships.
- Valid driver’s license with an adequate driving record.
