About the Role

As Branch Manager, you will have responsibility for management of the entire branch. You will directly manage two or more associates, hire, conduct performance reviews, and provide performance counseling as needed. You will drive branch performance results including deposit and loan growth, sales and referral growth, and service quality through modeling, coaching, and performance management to meet and exceed all branch sales and service quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Act as Loan Officer and/or Customer Service Representative (see job descriptions for those roles).
• Drive branch performance results through:
  • Strong individual and team sales/referral performance in deposits, deposit accounts, and other product lines.
  • Directing, leading, and coaching superior sales and service behaviors and activities by the entire team.
  • Developing and executing plans to meet/exceed branch sales goals while maintaining an operationally efficient and compliant branch.
• Understand and discuss, take applications, and process HELOC loans within the bank’s credit policy, as well as provide direction to customers regarding other consumer borrowing needs.
• Direct, coach, and manage staff to identify and generate prospects for branch sales and referral efforts.
• Ensure all staff is knowledgeable and proficient in the utilization of bank technology and technology offerings.
• Conduct sales efforts to bring in new primary relationships while maintaining and expanding existing personal and business banking relationships.
• Maximize sales, customer satisfaction, and minimize operating losses by executing strategies outlined for the branch by bank management.
• Ensure branch employees follow all company policies and procedures and set an example for others in the branch to follow.
• Effectively and efficiently manage staffing levels and work schedules of the branch.
• Coach employees to achieve goals and bank initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with the branch and other bank partners.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to all state and federal regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Privacy, and Fair Lending.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Economics (preferred).
• 3-5 years of banking management or business management experience (preferred).
• This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of state and federal regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Consumer Privacy, and Fair Lending, along with industry best practices.
