Branch Leader - Southside

Regular, full-time position. Fluency in English required. Work shift: 1st shift (United States of America).

About the role

As Branch Leader you will manage all aspects of an assigned Truist branch, driving performance through leadership, coaching, and business development. Small-business expertise is critical to Truist’s Purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities. You will ensure compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk-management policies, and oversee all human-capital decisions for the branch team.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values in the team.
• Drive branch performance in Truist strategic areas: Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnerships.
• Grow branch revenue through Small Business development, new-client strategies, face-to-face appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.
• Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community organizations to build the Truist brand and generate new business.
• Lead, coach, and motivate teammates through branch engagement routines to fulfill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
• Partner with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Operations teams to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics; ensure all required training is completed.
• Foster a One Team culture within the branch by collaborating with IRM and key line-of-business partners.
• Oversee all human-capital decisions: interviewing, selection, hiring, workforce scheduling, development planning, annual performance reviews, ratings, and disciplinary actions.
• May assist with teller transactions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training/experience.
• Two years of financial-services experience with consumer/small-business expertise.
• One year of branch leadership or management experience.
• Strong interpersonal, sales-relationship, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must become SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment (new or transfer of registration plus NMLS background check).
• Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
• Graduate of internal leadership-development programs.
