About the role

As Branch Leader you will manage all aspects of an assigned Truist branch, driving performance through leadership, coaching, and business development. Small-business expertise is critical to Truist’s Purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities. You will ensure compliance with internal controls, operational procedures, and risk-management policies, and oversee all human-capital decisions for the branch team.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values in the team.
  • Drive branch performance and individual productivity in alignment with Truist strategy, including Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnerships.
  • Grow branch revenue through Small Business development, new-client strategies, face-to-face client appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.
  • Participate in civic, government, professional, business, and community organizations to build the Truist brand and generate new business.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate teammates through branch engagement routines to fulfill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
  • Partner with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Operations teams to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics; ensure all required training is completed by the team.
  • Foster a One Team culture within the branch by collaborating with IRM and key line-of-business partners.
  • Make human-capital decisions, including interviewing, selection, hiring, workforce scheduling, development planning, annual performance reviews, ratings, and performance counseling (including disciplinary actions).
  • May assist with teller transactions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training/experience.
  • Six years of financial-services experience with consumer/small-business expertise.
  • Four years of branch leadership or management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales-relationship, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must become SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check.
  • Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
  • Graduate of internal leadership-development programs.
