About the role

The branch leader is responsible for managing all aspects of an assigned branch, driving performance through leadership, coaching, and business development. This role is critical to Truist’s purpose of inspiring and building better lives and communities, with a focus on small business expertise and development.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive public image in the community and instill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values within the team.
  • Drive business development and branch performance in alignment with Truist strategy, including Small Business, Mass Affluent, Community Heroes, and Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partnerships.
  • Grow branch revenue through Small Business development, new client strategies, face-to-face client appointments, outbound calling, and prospecting.
  • Participate in civic, government, professional, and community affairs to develop new business and build the Truist brand (as approved by the market).
  • Lead, coach, and motivate teammates through branch engagement routines to fulfill Truist’s Purpose, Mission, and Values.
  • Partner with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) and Operations teams to ensure compliance with bank procedures, internal controls, risk management, and the Truist Code of Ethics.
  • Ensure all team members complete required training.
  • Collaborate with IRM and key line-of-business partners to promote a One Team culture within the branch.
  • Manage human capital decisions, including interviewing, hiring, workforce scheduling, development planning, performance reviews, ratings, and disciplinary actions.
  • May assist with teller transactions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training/experience.
  • Two years of financial services and consumer/small business expertise or equivalent experience.
  • One year of branch leadership or management experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, relationship-building, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check.
  • Ability to inspire, lead, and coach others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Banking.
  • Graduate of internal leadership development programs.

Pay

  • Branch Leader I: $46,750–$82,500 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
  • Branch Leader II: $57,880–$96,000 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
  • Branch Leader III: $66,570–$112,000 annual base salary, plus additional incentive pay.
