The General Warehouse Team Member role is critical to the efficient flow of materials within NMG’s distribution network, involving loading and unloading trucks, moving materials, operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, and other material‑handling equipment, as well as sorting, staging, transporting, preparing products for shipment, stocking inventory, fulfilling orders, and ensuring products are correctly pulled, labeled, boxed, wrapped, and delivered.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Move materials throughout the warehouse.
• Transport items to and from the loading platform.
• Carry, push, and roll materials.
• Safely operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors, and other material‑handling equipment.
• Separate, label and verify the count of incoming freight deliveries.
• Stock and maintain warehouse inventory.
• Locate and pull stock for outgoing deliveries.
• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, and labeling).
• Spend the majority of time standing, lifting and carrying products and climbing ladders to stock shelves.
• Use the computer system to locate products and stock incoming deliveries.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Some overtime work may be scheduled and required.
• Shipping and Receiving responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Computer skills – must be able to check email and complete online training courses. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations in order to accurately complete job tasks. Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements. Prior work experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Experience using a materials requirement planning system (MRP) such as AS400 preferred. While performing the duties of this job, the General Warehouse Associate must be able to talk and hear. The role requires regular sitting, standing, or walking for 8 hours or more in a day. Frequent activities include using hands and fingers, grasping, handling, feeling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally, the individual must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Travel requirements: as needed for the role.
