Branch Overview
Bragg Companies Branches operate as individual and distinct profit centers, each differentiated from sister branches based on geography. All branches share a common general organizational and accounting structure designed to facilitate efficient, flexible overhead to optimize regional market opportunities. Specific branch attributes, such as property/yard acreage, employee count, domiciled equipment resources, and scope of provided services, are determined in cooperation with corporate management to align with local market opportunities and corporate strategic objectives.
Branch General Manager Responsibilities
Financial Management: Mastery of branch P&L and cash-flow, ownership of annual budget and forecast, and management of opportunity analysis (cost/benefit, risk/reward).
Operational Oversight: Holding weekly job/project progress meetings, performing or delegating sales and administrative staff management, and managing and integrating location-specific capabilities.
Human Resources and Staff Development: Planning and coordinating staff professional development programs, managing branch HR issues, and promoting a supportive and harassment-free work environment.
Strategic Planning and Analysis: Developing and advocating for high-risk business cases and completing and analyzing annual customer satisfaction surveys.
Leadership and Community Engagement: Participating in leadership training courses and engaging in local community outreach and industry events.
Sales, Marketing and Customer Service: Maintain a thorough understanding of the Branch’s regional market, market size and composition (SWOT), competitor business model and market share, and listen to and understand customer needs.
Safety: Promote an environment of safety and safe practices. Ensure all employees and processes remain compliant with company safety policies, OSHA, and other governmental regulations.
Risk Management: Review Customer contracts, requests, T&C’s, etc. to validate their alignment with company policies and terms.

Required Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a General Manager of 5 or more office staff plus 50 or more field personnel, a minimum of $20M/year in sales, or comparable executive role.
Leadership: Organizational effectiveness, project, and operations management experience.
Financial Skills: Experience in planning and budgeting. Knowledge of business financial and accounting principles and practices.
Technical Skills: Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions. Basic to advanced estimating skills.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact clearly with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: College degree in Business, Organizational Management, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related field preferred. 5+ years’ experience in Executive Management or General Management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Industry Experience: Previous experience managing multiple lines of business within the heavy construction, heavy transportation, industrial, refinery, or related industry.
