About the Role

Manage one or more branch offices to meet the financial service needs of the community while achieving branch profitability objectives. Provide direct supervision to branch personnel and develop new business for the Bank as part of the business development program and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Foster an environment of collaboration between retail, business lines, and management.
  • Supervise, motivate, and mentor branch staff to ensure optimal client service.
  • Inform and administer policies and procedures affecting branch operations; ensure compliance with these policies.
  • Ensure the branch is properly staffed and personnel are trained; manage time, attendance, and assist in selecting new personnel.
  • Supervise opening and closing of the building and vault; ensure proper branch security and training.
  • Prepare branch reports.
  • Maintain business and social contacts in the Bank’s marketing area to develop and retain new client business.
  • Actively participate in the Bank’s sales and marketing program, including making business sales calls and attending local community events.
  • Manage the branch daily to achieve annual goals and objectives; establish sales and service goals with assigned supervisor and take actions to achieve them.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled staff sales meetings.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of consumer products and services to ascertain client needs and sell accordingly.
  • Provide direct service to clients regarding deposit, loan, trust, and other products and services.
  • Maintain an active National Mortgage Licensing System registration.
  • Initiate external and internal calls to develop new business and retain or expand existing business.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all bank products and services; refer clients to business partners and cross-sell products.
  • Process various types of transactions and loans while adhering to the Bank’s credit guidelines.
  • Manage resolution of client complaints and monitor branch activities, including transactions, cash control, and loan production.
  • Build and maintain client relationships while ensuring confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relative banking or progressive financial industry experience.
  • Strong reading, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient mathematical, visual, auditory, and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Management and sales skills, with a proven track record in effective business development.
  • Sound working knowledge of Bank operating policies and procedures.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, motivate, and earn trust to create a positive work environment.
  • Competency in handling high workloads, competing demands, interruptions, and distractions with poise.
  • Valid driver’s license.
