Compensation: $29.43/hr. + $2/hr. Shift Differential
Schedule
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Essential Functions
- Prepare, load, and move metal sheet onto the conveyor of the brake press
- Bend metal sheet using the brake press
- Inspect each product once bent to ensure that the bend was correct
- Send metal sheet to seaming operation after brake press procedures
- Recognize lamination and material defects and notify quality assurance or supervisor
- Absorb and train for the role of Brake Press Operator
- Maintain equipment for assembly of one piece poles; bolt pads, nylon straps, etc.
Required Qualifications
- No Degree Required
- One (1) year production experience
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, although most frequent lift is up to 20 pounds
- Ability to become Valmont trained and certified in the operation of a forklift
- High awareness for safety at all times
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in the production facility
- Read blueprints and specifications
Important Details About The Role
- Read and decipher blueprints and flat sheets correctly
- Use and read both regular and Outside Diameter (OD) tape measures accurately
- Make mathematical calculations in preparing product or setting up the machinery
- Setup, operate, and perform general maintenance of equipment
- Must have an acceptable attendance and prior employment record
- Operate the basic functions of a personal computer
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate

Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
- One (1) year of previous experience using a brake press
- One (1) year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Knowledge of basic programming and set-up of PLC controlled machinery
- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
