Brake Press Machine Operator 1st Shift

About the role
Base pay rate is $18.00 per hour. This position is located at 999 Park Place, New Albany, IN 47150.
Responsibilities
- Conduct changeovers to different angles and sizes to ensure parts are folded correctly
- Check and visually inspect produced parts against specifications to ensure defect-free products
- Install dies during tooling changes and adjust to specifications
- Enter production quantities for each order into the computer system
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Assist in other departments as needed
Requirements
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
- Ability to work independently and with others
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read a tape measure and protractor
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to read, hear, talk, drive lift trucks, wear PPE, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Must be able to stand or walk approximately 7½ hours minimum per work shift
- Must be able to tolerate extreme temperature changes in winter and summer months
- Noise level is moderate to loud
- Must be available to work overtime during weekdays and possible weekends
Schedule
Shift hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with potential variation depending on operations. Shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours long based on work orders and season.
