Brake and Tire Technician
About the role
We’re looking for a Brake & Tire Technician with a minimum of 1 year of professional automotive repair experience to join Carvana, the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500.
In this role, you’ll perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires and performing technician services such as routine inspections, basic mechanical repair for brake pads/calipers/rotors, tire installations, and wheel alignments.
You’ll work in one of our high-tech Inspection Centers using state-of-the-art tools. If you’re joining us in an entry-level position, we offer training programs to ensure your skills and pay progress along with the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform light maintenance or repairs, including changing brakes and tires
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance
- Basic mechanical repair for brake pads, calipers, and rotors
- Tire installations and wheel alignments
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional automotive repair experience
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools, including lifting up to 60 pounds independently
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license (some positions may require a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
- Use of safety equipment, including but not limited to face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments and equipment
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
