Boys & Girls Shot Put/Discus Track & Field Coach at Wauwatosa West High School.
Responsibilities
- Coaches shot put and discus track and field programs
- Completes the NFHS "Fundamentals of Coaching" course within the first year
- Provides program oversight
- Mentor and develop relationships with student-athletes
- Teach skills/fundamentals, rules of sport and associations; including technical and tactical components of the game
- Communicate clearly with athletes and parents
- Supervise and monitor team in various settings
Requirements
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
- Fundamentals of Coaching course per NFHS
- Previous high school or college playing experience
- High school, club or college coaching experience
- Possess excellent organizational skills
- Understand and teach skills/fundamentals, rules of sport and associations; including technical and tactical components of the game
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills
- Ability to supervise and monitor team in various settings
- Mentor and develop relationships with student-athletes
- Encourage a healthy, fun and competitive outlook in sport
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience
- Previous high school coaching experience
- Certified Educator
Skills
