About the role

The Boys Basketball Coach - Varsity Assistant position at Ocean Lakes High School is a part-time role reporting to the Principal/SAC. The school is seeking an experienced coach to support the varsity basketball program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and execution of game plans
• Work closely with the head coach to develop team strategies
• Manage practice schedules and conduct team meetings
• Attend games and tournaments to provide support and guidance
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall athletic program

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Minimum 3 years of coaching experience at the high school level
• Experience with youth basketball development
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Pass a background check
