Education Level: Experience Desired High School Diploma, BA/BS Education Preferred High school/college participation
Physical Requirements: Hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit. The ability to travel between locations.
Other Requirements: Sports First Aid or Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries or equivalent; Concussion in Sports - What You Need to Know (must be renewed on an annual basis). Knowledge of the sport. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others.

Issues equipment and supervise the students' care of it;
Checks in and inventory equipment at the end of the season;
Supervises physical examinations and ensures that every athlete returns the necessary form signed by the doctor and parent;
Promotes a style of play consistent with the scope and sequence of the total program;
Prepares a daily practice schedule and continues to improve coaching techniques;
Dresses appropriately for coaching duties at practice and game time;
Adheres to policies and procedures established by the Sioux Falls School District;
Administers first aid to an injured player and takes appropriate action such as notifying the family doctor, the parent, athletic director, and building principal;
Communicates between officials and coaches in a professional manner;
Attends rules meetings and is familiar with the rules of the game;
Attends coaches meetings as deemed necessary by Coordinator of Athletics;
Performs other duties as assigned.
