Essential Functions

• Folds boxes per specifications.
• Attaches identification labels to boxes.
• Places specified number of products in container.
• Counts items packed to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Passes filled boxes through tape machine.
• Checks boxes for correct labeling and damage.
• Loads pallets with filled boxes.
• Maintains and records temperatures of product.
• Draws random samples according to quality assurance specifications.
• Disassembles and reassembles the production line and equipment as necessary for cleaning.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, tools, and work area per Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP).
• Cleans equipment according to company standards.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Preferred Education & Experiences

• Three-to-six-months' food manufacturing experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Knowledge of production processes, food safety and quality controls typically required in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to count by multiples 2s and 3s.
• Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to wet and cold conditions, and moving mechanical parts.
• May be required to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.

Work Ability Requirements

• Regularly bends or leans at waist level.
• Regularly stands, walks, uses hands to finger, handle, or grasp packages, and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionally climbs or balances.
• Occasionally stoops, kneels, and crouches.
• Lifts and carries objects up to 5 lbs regularly, 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
