Box Maker 1st. Shift

Box Maker position on Third Shift in West Plains, Missouri. Responsible for fabricating boxes from corrugated cardboard materials.

Responsibilities

• Pull cardboard blanks from the pallet and place them on the box table.
• Assemble cartons for finished flooring by folding pre-cut corrugated cardboard stock and inserting tables into pro-cut slots.
• Supply nesting line with enough folded cartons to maintain production pace.
• Monitor the temperature at the high mass oven, notifying the supervisor or lead grader of any abnormal temperature readings.
• Monitor the stain operation product flow during color checks, notifying the stain operator of any problems.
• Perform any other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employment verification and drug screening.
• Positive and Verifiable Work History.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Demands

• Continually push, pull, carry, and lift 5-50 lbs.
• Regularly standing, walking, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, grasping and repetitive movements.
• Continually works in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
• Continually able to work in moderate noise, up to 83 decibels.
• Frequently Talk, hear, read, write.
• Continually works in a non-temperature-controlled environment exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles.
• Continual specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
