Responsibilities

- Ensure the store's appearance aligns with brand identity, is attractive to customers, and holds competitive standards
- Handle customer concerns with grace, wisdom, and solution-focused care
- Aim to meet store & personal sales goals and comply with operational procedures
- Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to foster a motivated and high-performing team
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS system management, and shift management
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock audits, and coordinating purchasing and replenishment activities to ensure product availability
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation and drive sales growth through visual displays and promotional campaigns
- Develop and execute sales plans by setting targets, analyzing sales data, and motivating the team to achieve retail goals
- Handle customer service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat business
- Cook up with marketing teams to execute local promotional activities and maintain a strong store presence within the community
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in sales team leadership and store operations
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management
- Familiarity with POS systems, purchasing procedures, pricing strategies, cash handling, cashiering, and inventory control techniques
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and training & development initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership in retail management roles with supervisory experience in retail sales environments
- Knowledge of retail math including budgeting, pricing strategies, sales analysis, and basic math skills for operational tasks
- Experience with operational management tasks such as merchandising, stocking, marketing efforts, wireless sales, time management, organizational skills, and administrative responsibilities
- Additional qualifications include assistant manager experience or managerial experience retail or specialty stores; familiarity with phone etiquette; organizational skills; and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
